Whereas there appears to be an increasing disposition on the part of many professed Christian to mingle and take part in many of the vain worldly amusements of the present time these doing and encouraging what is plainly inconsistent with the spirit Religion.
And whereas it has become nessary to establish a line of distinction between worldly practices and the duties and privileges of Christians

The committee on systematic contributions reported. Adopted.
The committee on systematic Benevolence Have fully considered the necesitys of the Church also the duty of each member in regard to the same, and conclude let us view the Charity and Benevolence in what light we may that it is the duty of each to give of their means as the Lord has propered.
Honor demands this. Christian duty demands it. the prosperity of the church demands it. Therefore we sincerely recommend that the Church direct the clerk to take from the Church Book the names of each and all its members and that the same be placed in the hands of the officers of the church and that they are directed to call on each and every member and urge them to give accordingly of their means as the Lord has prospered — We are also fully satified that less than one hundred and fifty Dollars anually will fail to discharge the Christian duties of the church. The Committee Recommend that the Church adopt the above as its plan of systematic Benevolence.
